Minutes Annual Meeting Tuesday 21st May 2019

Minutes of the Annual Meeting of Wadsworth Parish Council held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 21^st May 2019 in the Council Chamber of Hebden Bridge Town Hal

Members present: Councillors Bell, Fowler, Kimber and Wade.

1 APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN FOR THE YEAR 2019/20

RESOLVED:

that the Chairman for the year 2019/2020 be Councillor Bell.

2 SIGNATURES OF DECLARATION OF OFFICE OF CHAIRMAN

The Chairman, Councillor Bell, signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office and agreed to be guided by the National Code of Local Government Conduct in the performance of his functions in that office.

3 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

There were no apologises.

Members were reminded to declare any interests relating to agenda items for this meeting prior to consideration of the appropriate item.

4 APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHAIRMAN FOR THE YEAR 2018/2019

Resolved: that Councillor Kimber be appointed Vice Chairman for the year 2019/2020.

5 DECLARATIONS OF OFFICE

It was reported that all declarations of office had been signed.

6 THANKS TO RETIRING MEMBERS

Resolved: i) that letters of thanks be sent to all retiring members.

ii) that Cllr Bell be responsible for researching engraved gifts.

iii) that Cllr Bell organise a celebratory event at a local pub for July.

7 TO APPOINT A PLANNING COMMITTEE, WITH DELEGATED POWERS

Resolved: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Cllr Wade.

8 TO APPOINT A STAFFING COMMITTEE

Resolved: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Cllr Fowler.
